It also protects private property and enables citizens to have more control over their own lives. Not limiting government enables the government to have absolute power over the citizens. In an unlimited government, the government makes decisions on behalf of the citizens, resulting in the loss of individual liberties. Both the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights were designed to limit government. A limited government has legal limits on its power and can only pass laws that do not affect personal liberties.
